Vandalism can be defined in many ways. In the Wiki, the definition of vandalism is:

  • intentional non-constructive edit on this Wiki.
  • any addition, removal, or change of content in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of this Wiki.

Common examples of vandalism would be:

  • Illegitimately deleting large portions or all of the text
  • Adding intentional non-constructive texts, images, or categories
  • Putting crude humor
  • Changing the author of a statement in a Talk page to another user or IP Address
  • Changing anything within a User page without the User's consent

We do not tolerate any form of vandalism, no matter how minor or severe they may be. If you are caught vandalizing or having vandalized any page, your actions will not be left unpunished. Actions will be dealt with as swiftly as possible.

No shrines for vandals

Vandalism should be dealt with swiftly and as quiet as possible. Do not make a big deal out of vandalism. That means there should be no discussion, announcement, or complaints about how bad the attack is. If documentation or discussion about a vandalism attack is absolutely necessary, avoid using the Wiki to document anything about the vandalism.

Because trolls/vandals thrive on recognition, announcing or complaining about their actions will only incite their success, increase their ego, and may also encourage them to attack/vandalize again. Basically, do not feed the trolls.

Assume in good faith

Sometimes, a User may:

  • Add, edit, and/or modify something that is "bad information" or "not true" according to you
  • Add, edit, modify, and/or some information without specifying a reason
  • Mess up some tables, templates, or coding
  • Undoing or reverting edits
  • Putting information that hasn't been mentioned in any official media and is left uncited

These types of edits may not be vandalism because the User may be implementing them with good faith. Please note that any good-faith effort to improve the wiki, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism.
