Story

Megadimension Neptunia VII

Kurome used to be a CPU of Planeptune, but eventually sealed herself prior to the start of the game due to being unable to control her power. She believed that the people sealed her away and began to hate them; as a result, her Share energy shifted to negative energy. Sometime after that, a part of her "split", which was mainly the good aspects in her. Kurome attempted to fuse the Heart and Zero Dimensions together so that she could attack Hyper Dimension, but was unable to due to the good clone stopping her.

Zero Dimension Neptunia Z: Twilight of the Desperate CPU
Kurome can be said to have appeared in the Zero Dimension arc in front of Nepgear, the third time, she was investigating the history of the world. She takes the appearance of her good counterpart however. She says if it is Nepgear, she might be free from her "prison". Nepgear then thinks that the Zero Dimension is her prison.

Hyper Dimension Neptunia G: The Golden Leaders, Reconstructors of Gamindustri
Prologue
Kurome first appears in the Hyper Dimension Neptunia G arc. Using the negative energy created from the citizen's reaction to the CPUs being defeated by Gold Third, she was able to rewrite history.

Next, she asks Affimojas if he likes how the world was rewritten. He likes it, and she reminds him of their deal to acquire an item for her. He does and sent his associate Steamax to deal with it. Kurome wants to see Steamax but Affimojas refuses to let that happen.

Planeptune
Kurome returns to remind Affimojas about their deal. He says they are still looking for it and would not forget about it since he is indebted to her for rewriting of Gamindustri. Kurome asks for his opinion of the current Gamindustri. Affimojas calls a golden tree, monsters are multiplying, people are fighting and in despair, there is so much profit to be had from information. She wants to take it up an notch as people's suffering is like honey to her. It would be more profitable for the general and asks for his opinion. He does not respond.

Kurome finds a heart-broken Warechu in the alley and promises him so good dreams if he allows her to. Warechu understands that she is bad news and runs away. She follows him. Warechu finds B-Sha and Chuko. She says that if Warechu does not want her dreams then she'll give it to the two girls instead. She is quite glad that all important pieces are right here.

She turns Warechu who defended Chuko from Kurome's influence into a mindless monster and fixes B-Sha's fear of monster by making everyone she sees a monster to cause chaos in Planeptune.

Lastation
Kurome gives K-Sha a dream of her spending time with Noire which is interrupted by Uni. She tells her that if Uni was gone, K-Sha would have Noire all to herself. As K-Sha wakes up from the nightmare, she then disguises herself as Noire and acts nice towards K-Sha. Uni finds this strange as her sister already left for a quest. K-Sha gets upset at Uni for finding it strange that K-Sha is with Noire.

Kurome, as Noire then leaves with Uni to gather some information. The two act like a couple with and the fake acts clingy towards Uni. When Uni has had enough and snaps, she cries some fake tears. She later thanks Uni for the fun times when the real Noire returns from a quest.

That night, she gives K-Sha a dream of just her and Noire. She then notes, the greater distance between reality and delusion, the greater the despair. She can't wait for the show K-Sha will perform for her. K-Sha then tries to kill Uni. She is disappointed with the fact that Noire and Uni are able to snap bring K-Sha back to her senses.

She allows the Order Woman to continue with her plans to eliminate the CPUs along with K-Sha. She hopes their plan will succeed. The woman assures her of it.

She later tries again to get K-Sha to let Uni die, and this time it will look like K-Sha did not kill her. That way she will have Noire who appreciate her as the one who tried to save her sister. K-Sha refuses for Noire's happiness, so she tells her she will always be alone. This causes K-Sha to flip out and attack the Lastation sisters.

Unfortunately for Kurome, the Lastation sisters were able to stop her and forgive her making the girls closer friends.

Lowee
Kurome gives C-Sha a bunch of nightmares when she was captured by the revolutionary army. She hopes C-Sha would fall into endless delusion, however Financier breaks her out of it.

After all the problems in Lowee are seemingly solved, she attempts to take over C-Sha's body who tried so hard to prevent the delusionary power from escaping. C-Sha figures out that she is responsible for Gamindustri rewrite and the problems plaguing Lowee. Kurome does not care and just wants to use her body as a vessel. She wants to try out that Golden Power.

Unfortunately for her, Blanc, Rom and Ram were able to snap her back to her senses. She is not mad though as she knows AffimaX was able to acquire the item she wanted, the controller.

Leanbox
Kurome visits S-Sha in her dreams to give her ideas to help with S-Sha's plan. One particular plan was to use the Demon King but it died. S-Sha gets angry with her for that but Kurome explains that she misunderstood her, it was worshiped as a Demon King in her world. However, she does have another more drastic plan for S-Sha to use.

Heart Dimension Neptunia H: Trilogy Finale: Into Legend
Kurome disguises herself as Uzume and creates a hole from the Zero Dimension to the Hyper Dimension. She leads a horde of monsters into the Hyper Dimension which are intercepted by the CPUs of the Hyper Dimension. After the horde is defeated, Neptune closes off the hole between the Zero Dimension and Hyper Dimension. Kurome approaches the CPUs and complains to them.

Neptune is excited to see Uzume and asks her if she is investigating. Kurome says she is not investigating but she is the horde's commander. Kurome summons up Dark Purple surprising the CPUs. They ask what is going on and Kurome says their questions do not matter. Soon nothing will matter as they will soon drown in a whirlpool of delusion. Dark Purple captures the CPUs. Kurome notes that this was so easy, the CPUs did not even suspect it was a trap. She says she will soon complete Dark Purple.

Nepgear arrives to confront Uzume. Kurome tells her that it is great to see her again but she must leave. She would perfer if Nepgear would not get beat up until they meet again. She returns to the Zero Dimension with the captive CPUs. Kurome heads northeast with the Dark CPU and big Neptune.

Kurome meets Nepgear's rescue mission in the northeastern part of the Zero Dimension as Uzume is wondering what nation she once ruled. Kurome answers Planeptune. Uzume is not happy to see her and tells her that Planeptune is Nepgear's nation. Kurome tells her that Planeptune's history traces back to having themselves as the ruler. Uzume should remember sooner or later what Planeptune did to them.

Kurome also tells them that when the Zero Dimension hits the Hyper Dimension, they will collide. The resulting dimension is something like the Zero Dimension. Uzume tells her she will not let that happen. Kurome ignores that and asks Nepgear for the Swirl Console, she stole from AffimaX. IF asks her if she was responsible for everything in the Gamindustri Rewrite. Kurome confirms this and praises Planeptune's intelligence agent. Seeing as how Nepgear will not give her the Swirl Console, she leaves saying that the CPUs are turning out just fine.

Big Neptune and Kurome retreat into a dungeon. The party is able to corner them and Kurome complains about her number disadvantage. B-Sha tells her that numbers increase the chance of success in rescue mission and B-Sha wants to have the best chance possible. Kurome tells her a missed chance is still a missed chance. She leaves a monster for the group to fight. Big Neptune creates a portal with her Nep-Note and the two of them leave.

Later, Kurome notices that the rescue mission has been able to enter her base dimension. She calls Arfoire and tells her to take Neptune's Nep-Note. She tells Neptune not to play dumb and that her only use is her Nep-Note but more specifically, Croire within her Nep-Note.

She later instills the delusionary power into them. They are confronted by the CPU Candidates and Gold Third, where they have to battle them because the goddesses are filled with delusionary power.

The goddesses eventually get out of the whirlpool of insanity thanks to Uzume's help with a share crystal.

Ascension Ending
Kurome HDDs into Dark Orange to kill all of the CPUs and Gold Third. Uzume notices a share crystal in the distance and uses it to create a sharing field, which binds the two together. Dark Orange is surprised Uzume would try something suicidal, but is trapped in the sharing field and eventually defeated. Before her death, she sends a horde of monsters to attack Hyper Dimension, though it is defeated when Uzume sacrifices herself to stop it from arriving.

Revival Ending
Following a path similar to the normal ending, Histoire comes up with the idea to try and revive Uzume. She warns that there is a high possibility of Kurome reviving instead, though the use of faith and the Visual Radio that Nepgear got from Uzume before she disappeared will increase Uzume's chances of reviving. Uzume is surprised they would try such a thing. Kurome appears and the two battle each other to decide who will be revived. Despite her best efforts, Kurome is defeated by Uzume and is not revived as a result.
