Uranus (ウラヌス, Uranusu), known as Caelus in Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, first appears in Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 as the former CPU of Planeptune from many years ago who slumbers in LAN Castle's Depths. Not much is known about her except for the fact that she and the other CPUs in her time attempted to defeat Arfoire and ultimately failed.
Due to having no physical form, her appearance is unknown.
Uranus is helpful and honest to Nepgear about their chances to defeating the deity of sin. Other than that not much else is known about her personality. It is implied that her bonds with her other fellow CPUs are less than the current CPUs bonds as she was unable to overcome the Deity of Sin.
Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2
Uranus is named Caelus in the English translation.
When Nepgear and the others arrive and head to LAN Castle Secret Hall to find Caelus, she is awaken by their loud voices and asks them why they interrupted her slumber. When Nepgear and the others explain that they need her help in trying to defeat Arfoire due to her being the only remaining CPU from the past who defeated the Deity of Sin.
Caelus first corrects them say she sealed the Deity of Sin and not defeating her. Nepgear's party deduces that to seal the Deity of Sin, Caelus must have weakened it. They want to know how. Caelus states if they truly wish to defeat the Deity of Sin Arfoire then they must have a desire stronger and opposite of Arfoire. Anything works from wanting to eat until one has a "food coma" to wanting to save Gamindustri.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 SISTERS GENERATION
Uranus's role is largely the same as Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, with her name properly translated as "Uranus" in the English version.
Megadimension Neptunia VII
Uranus is mentioned in Megadimension Neptunia VII by Kurome Ankokuboshi. After Uzume Tennouboshi sealed herself, Uranus was created as Planeptune's CPU to succeed her. There is also a Processor Unit set named after her, and the set was stated to be used by a CPU in the past, which she fits the description of. This Processor Unit is equippable by only the CPU Candidates.
- Her Japanese voice actor is the same as Black Disc's.
- Her English voice actor is Karen Strassman, who also voices Broccoli.
- Uranus speaks in an archaic, old-fashioned way, which reflects the age gap between her and the new CPUs.
- Her name is a reference to Sega's planet codenames, which led to the naming of the Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto. Ironically, the "Uranus" codename was not used, due to how the name in Japanese sounded like "Uranu" or "won't sell", as well as how it was "an ominous name for a project."
