===Combat Summary===
In terms of gameplay, Vert can be considered the antithesis to Blanc. Whereas Blanc is a tank with mediocre damage potential, better physical traits, several one hit moves, and more buffs, Vert has low defenses but high damage output, leaning more toward magic, several multi-hit moves, and has fewer buffs but more debuffs. One thing to note is Vert's weapon, a spear. Other characters who use other melee weapons like swords, often have their attack range limited to directly in front of them with the range stretching to either side depending on the equipment. Vert's weapons change that due to them being spears. Instead of having range change horizontally, Vert's weapons stretch vertically with some weapons, a trait shared only with ranged fighters. This trait only really affects how Vert has to approach enemies in order to get the most damage out of a combo. Combo attacks are pretty standard, with a balance of magic and attack skills and large amounts wind affinity. Vert's SP skills tend to have some nice AoE, with most having multiple hits, making the damage limit less of a problem with the exception of one or two attacks. Vert's buffs and debuffs mostly focus on Agility, TECH, and movement, a stark contrast to others who focus more on straight up damage received/given, helpful nonetheless. In general, defensive buffs tend to be better than the evasion buffs, but it's often better to dodge a hit rather than block a hit. If you can build a team of agile fighters, the tech debuffs tend to help a lot more. Vert also has one INT increasing buff. As a partner, Vert gives the shorten wait passive, a great skill for all purposes, letting characters get their turns quicker and therefore do more attacking or healing, but it has far less potential on tanks whose main job is to take a hit. Vert's a nice party member to have when facing normal mobs of enemies. Against bosses however is another story. While Vert is not the squishiest of the characters (for those wondering they are Ram and Peashy), Vert is pretty defenseless, having to rely on high agility and her Agility buffs and Tec debuffs to dodge attacks and negate damage. Even so, bosses tend not to miss due to their naturally high stats. Vert is good at dealing damage, but requires some caution if you want her to burst down a boss.
